So today was not NEARELY as bad as I had suspected. Although, for some of my friends, they had said other wise. Some said they were loney, and or that they had none of their friends in there classes, some hated the thought of being in such a big school with a whole new load of reponsibilities, and some just hated school in general. Of course during the day I had people show me which halls and rooms to go too. But the trick is asking the right person, ALWAYS ask someone that you can trust, because if you can't they will most likely lead you in the opposite direction in which you need to be heading. "Hazing" is no where near as bad as everyone makes it out to be either. Just DON'T put your self in a situation that would give anyone a reason to "haze" you. Also, act as if you are one of the upperclassmen, and trust me, they'll believe it. I'm not saying that after today I expect high school to be a cake walk, especially since i'm taking Pre-AP English and Geography, but it isn't as scary as you fear when your dreaming about it, or when someone starts talking about a "bad" experience. There are ups and downs with life, and high school is a part of it. So as long as you follow some of the advice tips I'll be giving you, there isn't much to fear.
Oh, and if you ARE going to a big school, DO NOT expect to be friends with the same people you were friends with middle school, matter of fact, don't even to expect to have classes with them, let alone see much of them.
High school is different, very different, and you just have to go in to your high school knowing that there will be a bunch of alien faces and it will seem like a whole different world, but also know, those aliens aren't REALLY gunna hurt you. Some might poke fun, but then again, what does that show for themselves if they do?
